THE BAR
Located at the top of Bridge Street, has been a pub for over 100 years and has changed hands many times. The current owners, the Swifts from Castlebar have managed the pub since November 1999.
The Swifts are no strangers to the pub business. The family ran for many years a pub in Spencer Street, Castlebar called Rattigans, the business of their maternal grandmother.
An Bhun Abhainn, one of six pubs in Louisburgh, is a traditional bar featuring regular traditional sessions with local musicians. The pub provides a warm, welcoming atmosphere with its friendly staff, cozy fire and its interesting collection of Irish art.
